Throughout the course of the bands union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues across the UK. You will be thrilled by the atmosphere The John Burrows Band can generate.
Adam - Vocal
'Born Too Late' sums up Adam in a nutshell. Adam is the youngest member of the band. A ‘Northamptonshire based’ singer with a truly amazing voice. He has received tremendous acclaim from everyone who has heard him sing. Adams unique ability at replicating the style of musical legends such as Little Richard, Jackie Wilson, Roy Orbison and his own favourite Elvis, came about from his Dad ‘Roger’, playing the great classic tunes to him whilst he was growing up. Once again, a big thank you to Roger for the time and inspiration that ultimately created this superb vocalist.
Tony - Guitar
Tony is the most senior member of the band and has been playing guitar in bands since he was 15 years old. Tony is also a songwriter and has more than 200 songs published. Tony is very serious about the sound and to get that authentic 60’s twang, Tony uses his trusty orange Gretsch Electromatic with a ‘Northants’ made Blackstar Amp.
John - Drums
John is the power-house for the band, his hard-hitting style drives the music along as he creates his own powerful rhythms and fills. John is well known on the Corby music scene and has played with many of the greats over the years. His oblique sense of humour is an acquired taste, but we love him to bits and certainly wouldn’t change him for the world.
Eddie has been working on the local circuit for more years than he cares to remember. His family on his mothers side who all originally came from Italy were musicians , so Eddie in keeping with family tradition didn’t want to let anyone down and discovered the bass guitar at around the age of 15yrs old and has never looked back since ,always trying to learn and improve...Eddie is a huge fan of Fender & Music Man Stingray basses which are a perfect fit for the sound of The John Burrows Band, he is very much looking forward to working with the band and having some great times.
The John Burrows Band celebrating with us at The Headland pub on The Wednesday Beat Scene's 7th Birthday - and these guys never disappoint! The evening had a party atmosphere from the off, with first songs from The Bee Gees, Searchers, Billy, Cliff and Little Richard and our eager dancers already on the floor It was then that our charismatic young singer stopped us in our tracks with a fabulous Frankie Valli rendition of the Four Seasons No.2 hit 'Rag Doll', backed by superb vocal harmonies from the already playing skills proven guys in the band - we were back in 1964! Throughout the evening we partied to more '50s R'n'R classics, '60s pop group favourites and enjoyed further amazing offerings from our powerful, full vocal range front man singing PJ Proby's 'Hold Me', Jackie Wilson's 'Reet Petite, The Four Seasons' 'Sherry', The Rubettes' 'Sugar Baby Love' and ballads 'It's Not Unusual', 'Unchained Melody' and 'American Trilogy'. A fabulous 'something for everyone' selection guys! Thank you John Burrows Band, you certainly lived up to your promise of a Big Sound and of Playing Timeless Classics!"
